The workshop of the Classic Center also looks after all experimental and record-breaking cars as well as the company’s historical prototypes – vehicles with which Mercedes-Benz has been crucially influencing the development of the automobile in the fields of safety and innovation to this day.
Over and beyond this, all Mercedes-Benz racing cars from the different eras are serviced in the integrated motorsport workshop. Anyone expecting to see only historical vehicles such as the legendary Silver Arrows here would be mistaken. This is because racing cars are rated as classics as early as after the relevant racing season. Therefore, you’ll also find witnesses to the more recent Mercedes-Benz motorsport history here, i.e. Group C and Formula One cars from Sauber, DTM and ITC cars, the Penske-Mercedes which won the Indianapolis race in 1994 and the McLaren-Mercedes Formula One cars.
Our specialists have many years of experience, expertise and the technical skills required to handle highly complex and advanced engineering. The workshop team in Fellbach takes care of, and maintains, all cars which are made available for parades and demonstrations throughout the world. These cars captivate the spectators at events such as the popular Goodwood Festival of Speed in England or the Mille Miglia in Italy.
